Spices Board Recruitment 2026: Trainee Analyst (Chemistry) Notification Released – Apply Before 10 August

The Spices Board of India, functioning under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has announced a recruitment notification for the post of Trainee Analyst (Chemistry) at its Quality Evaluation Laboratory (QEL), Kochi.

This is a good opportunity for science graduates who have studied Chemistry and wish to gain hands on experience in laboratory testing and chemical analysis of spices and spice products.

Vacancy Details

  • Post: Trainee Analyst (Chemistry)

  • Number of Vacancies: 2 (A panel will also be prepared for future requirements)

  • Category: Exclusively for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates

  • Training Location: Quality Evaluation Laboratory (QEL), Kochi, Kerala

  • Monthly Stipend: ₹20,000

  • Training Period: One year (extendable by one additional year based on requirements)

Educational Qualification

Applicants should possess:

  • B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the subjects, or

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from a recognized university.

Candidates who have previously undergone training in any office of the Spices Board are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

The maximum age is 30 years as on the date of the written test.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Written Test.

Written Test Details

  • Date: 11 August 2026

  • Time: 10:00 AM

  • Venue: Quality Evaluation Laboratory, Spices Board Head Office, Sugandha Bhavan, NH Bypass, Palarivattom, Kochi, Kerala.

Candidates should report at least 30 minutes before the examination with their original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies for document verification.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates must submit their application online on or before 10 August 2026. Candidates who fail to submit the online application will not be allowed to appear for the written test.

  • The training does not guarantee permanent employment in the Spices Board.

  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the written test.

  • Candidates should ensure that they satisfy all eligibility conditions before applying.
